Kayak Icebreakers?

Since I’m planning on leaving Sacramento next month, Ric invited me to at least one more Kayaking outing with him before I head out.

We headed up to Slab creek where at least there wasn’t any snow on the ground. There was plenty of ice though and it was definitely a little chilly.

Still some brisk paddling warmed us up and we had fun exploring the frozen over inlets though the kayaks didn’t get very far through the sheets of ice. We found a nice sunny sand bar to stop for a snack then paddled back to where we put in.

A great day on the water and a nice change from sorting boxes. 🙂
