Down by the pond
I spent a nice quiet morning down at Effie Yeaw observing the wildlife.

Or maybe I was the one being observed?
The usual deer, squirrels, and turkeys were in abundance. I also got some nice shots of a hawk and various small birds that were flitting about, and down by the water a young egret let me get fairly close before flying away. The weather has been surprisingly mild but I’m not complaining, winter will be here soon enough.
